The museum preserves the memorial items of the great Georgian singer, one of the founders of Georgian opera art, Vano Sarajishvili. His notes, photo-newspaper materials, musical instruments, family and household items, posters and many other exhibits related to his life and work are also preserved in the museum. Tbilisi State Conservatory is named after him. He was born in Sighnaghi in 1879 and died in 1942. He is buried in the garden of Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre next to Zakaria Paliashvili.
