The Bidzina Kvernadze International Music Festival will be held for the fourth time this year. The grand opening will be held on June 28 in Sighnaghi with the unveiling of the composer’s bust and a musical concert.

The bust will be erected in Bidzina Kvernadze’s hometown, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Georgia and the initiative of the Sighnaghi Municipality City Hall.

At the event, famous Georgian singers will perform the composer’s immortal works accompanied by a symphony orchestra and choir. The musical director of the concert, the founder of the festival and the author of the idea will be Nika Nikvashvili.

The goal of the festival is to popularize Georgian musical art, discover young talents and support their creative potential, as well as promote collaboration between Georgian and foreign artists, which will create the basis for the successful implementation of future cultural projects.
